Position Summary:

This supervisor position is responsible for all aspects of the evening and night shifts. Responsibilities include daily oversight and management of the evening and night shift and managing any issues that occur. Position will also be responsible for staff schedules and annual evaluations. Will perform patient testing in the laboratory approximately 80-90 % of the time. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education: Associates Degree required, BS or BA degree preferred MT(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP). Must meet latest version of CLIA requirements for General Supervisor at time of application and employment.

Experience: Four years of t echnical experience in clinical laboratory preferred. Two years minimum experience must be in a rea ( s) to be supervised.

Licensure: Certification by national accrediting agency in appropriate discipline required . Certification requiring educational maintenance must be kept current and valid.
