Lead Civil Engineer

Location: Tampa, FL OR Lakeland, FL OR Orlando, FL

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of civil engineering projects, with a focus on electric utility construction. The Lead Civil Engineer will provide vision and direction in civil engineering while also ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the civil engineering design process, including development, review, and approval of plans and specifications.
• Oversee the implementation of civil engineering projects to ensure timely completion and strict adherence to safety, quality, and budget standards.
• Provide advice and guidance on civil engineering tasks and projects.
• Resolve any conflicts that arise during project execution.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant design codes and regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on electric utility construction.
• Knowledge of industry-standard design codes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
