Description

Line editors are primarily responsible for copy editing and publishing editorial content from staff writers, freelancers, VettaFi Voices, and external content partners.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and publish 15-20 short-form articles daily, focusing on spelling and grammatical errors, formatting, basic fact-checking, etc. Other responsibilities include:
  • Create eye-catching headlines and sub-headlines
  • Manage the SEO profile of each article
  • Curate and publish external content from company sponsors, third-party websites, and more
  • Proof company web content, external communications and reports, etc.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years experience copyediting within the financial industry, preferably the ETF industry or financial advisory community.
  • Deep familiarity with AP Style and basic SEO best practices
  • Candidates without financial industry experience will not be considered
  • Deep familiarity with AP Style and basic SEO best practices
  • Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with respect to making argumentation and written content more compelling
  • General marketing experience preferred
  • Comfort with remote communication platforms (Teams, Slack, Zoom, etc.)

Note: While remote candidates will be considered, eligible candidates must live within the West or Mountain Time Zone.
