Machine Operator

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator, where you'll play a crucial role in producing high-quality blades for foam cutting machines. In this role, you will be responsible for operating welding and grinding machines (no welding experience required), cutting materials to precise lengths, and ensuring all products meet customer specifications. You'll operate hand grinders, welding, and annealing machines, while maintaining a well-organized and clean production area. Key responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, performing minor maching adjustments, and following safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. We're seeking a detail-oriented individual with basic mechanical knowledge, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for up to 10 hours and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role demands flexibility, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred. Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Weld and grind blades for foam cutting machines
• Maintain production in response to customer orders and maintaining blade stock
• Cut pieces to lengths according to customer specifications and weld back together
• Assess quality of coils
• Cut off sheets from coil to proper length
• Grind, straighten and smooth blades to width and thickness according to customer specifications
• Operate hand grinder and grinding, welding, and annealing machines
• Monitor parts and supplies for machine operations and report to leadership for timely low stock notices
• Wrap finished products in plastic and prepare for shipping
• Keep Blade Production area organized and clean
• Follow safety, health, hygiene, and security standards to keep organization safe and accident free
• Ensure that all safety equipment is not broken or damaged
• Regularly inspect equipment and perform minor repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Complete projects and deliverables on time
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with other leadership and departments to operate holistically and improve overall business
