Job Description
The responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager are
Team Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, including training, performance evaluation, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement schedules, work plans, and procedures to optimize maintenance activities.
Equipment Maintenance:
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for all machinery, equipment, and systems used in the seafood manufacturing process.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Facility Management:
Coordinate and oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Inventory and Spare Parts:
Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of required parts while optimizing costs.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
Generate regular reports on maintenance metrics, equipment performance, and departmental achievements.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Maintenance manager candidate must have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Several years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the food manufacturing
Strong technical knowledge of seafood processing equipment, production lines, and facility systems.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in food manufacturing.
Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
