Job Overview

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will focus on improving equipment reliability and maintainability through corrective and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations by performing corrective and preventive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic approaches.
  • Perform routine preventive tasks, inspections, and minor service or overhauls.
  • Replace failed parts and adjust equipment to meet operational specifications.
  • Maintain machinery lubrication requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements based on equipment performance.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records for historical reference and future maintenance planning.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on maintenance procedures and equipment.
  • Complete annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and required training based on assessment outcomes.
  • Immediately report accidents, incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries and maintain safe equipment and conditions throughout the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with company environmental rules and procedures to minimize environmental impact.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency with typical shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, and portable power tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to advance skill proficiencies through assigned training.

Must-Haves

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the location or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
  • Completion of a written online assessment test prior to the interview is mandatory.
  • Candidates who pass the assessment test must be available for an on-site interview.

General Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong Mechanical or Electrical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Familiarity with typical shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, and portable power tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Desire to advance skill proficiencies through assigned training.
  • A 2-year Technical Degree is desirable.
  • Minimum 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience or comparable skills demonstration required.

Primary Job Tasks

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic methodologies.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and minor services.

  • Adjust equipment to ensure it meets operational specifications.
