We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician at Gardenside Cooperative. This full-time position requires a trustworthy individual who is very much a hands-on person. One who can respond to a range of routine and emergency maintenance needs along with other more technical issues—sometimes afterhours. The right candidate will be someone who can communicate well, is honest, self-directed, organized, a multi-tasker and one who works well with people.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Inspect property
Maintain common areas and ensure clean safe condition
Perform basic janitorial, electrical, plumbing, heating and painting duties
Communicate effectively and courteously in person, by text, email and phone.
Report and record resident complaints to management
Order and maintain supplies and materials
Coordinate between management and contractors
Qualifications:
Apartment Maintenance Experience Required
HVAC Experience
Electrical
Plumbing
On-Call
Snow Removal
Gutter Cleaning
Handle and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Strong inter-personal skills with residents, clients, vendors, contractors and co-workers
Good verbal and writing skills
Basic computer skills
Working Tools
Must have valid drivers license
