Maintenance Technician

The Copper Cellar Family of Restaurants is seeking to add a Maintenance Technician to its Facilities Team!

Maintenance Technician Duties And Responsibilities

Our Maintenance Technician will perform ongoing facility maintenance by completing repairs on equipment and buildings across ALL the Copper Cellar Restaurants. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs in coordination with the Facility Directors. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include:

  • Have their own set of power tools and hand tools to have on the job every day.
  • Reliable, licensed transportation for themselves and their tools for reporting to work
  • Park in areas only as directed by their supervisors.
  • Must have general knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, masonry and the functions of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Available 365 day per year for day or night shifts
  • Provide their own unlimited plan smart phone and respond to calls and texts during working hours.
  • Must provide their own attire meeting standards used for interaction with guests and the public
  • Must wear foot protection.
  • Maintain acceptable hygiene standards every shift.
  • Must adhere to the "no tobacco, smoking or vaping allowed" policy on CCC property including when "off work."
  • Have physical ability to load, lift and manipulate materials and equipment.
  • Constantly treat coworkers and the public with respect while using courteous language
  • Must notify their superiors of any needed off time minimum of one month in advance. Not all requests may be granted.
  • Be able to work a minimum of an 8-hour period every scheduled workday which will involve overnight shifts.
  • Able to work "clean" preserving the integrity and value of equipment and furnishings.
  • Willing to adapt to ever changing schedules and plans with a "no problem" attitude.
  • Capable of properly ordering parts using the designated PO system only as authorized.
  • Must understand the workplace is not a place for friends and family to visit, always keeping safety a priority.
  • Must understand that unauthorized breaks are not permitted.
  • Must understand that other than tools provided by the employee, all real goods are property of Copper Cellar
  • Must understand that lunch and dinner breaks are scheduled or planned and the responsibility of the employee. "Freebies" from restaurant employees is not allowed.
  • Clock in for work each day unless scheduled to start the day at a property away from home base.
  • Understand that all "non-public" areas of Copper Cellar properties are off limits when not clocked in for work.
  • Must understand that the workplace requires the required "clean-up" every shift.
  • Understand that all job direction comes from their facilities directors only.
  • Maintain security of all facilities assigned to.
  • Must understand that some information shared with the employee may not be general knowledge and should remain as such.
  • Willing to report to their facilities director any job at which they do not feel qualified or safe to perform.
  • Must have a "no job is too dirty" attitude.
