Manager, Client Success (Renewable Energy)

As the Manager of Client Success you will be responsible for leading our growing Client Success team and building processes to help drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth at scale. This role reports to the Director of Client Success.

Our Client Success team oversees all post-sales activities with our customers (renewable energy developers), including: client handoff from sales, new client onboarding, end-user software training, day-to-day support, issue management, and account renewals.

  • People leadership
    • Lead a fully remote client success team, including running weekly 1:1s, team meetings, and internal trainings.
    • Coach and motivate team members to help them grow and improve.
    • Recruit and onboard stellar new team members to build out our best-in-class success team and help them achieve results.
    • Manage day to day tasks and processes.
  • Lead process operations improvements to drive growth and retention smartly
    • Scale the team’s processes to meet exponential client growth and support needs by driving improvements to support resources, internal systems and processes, and optimizing the customer journey.
    • Develop internal and external resources to assist in team member and customer training.
    • Help identify best practices to increase client retention and reduce churn.
    • Lead projects to help improve user adoption, client experience, etc.
  • Communication / cross-functional work
    • Ensure Client Success team stays up-to-date on product updates, initiatives, and process changes.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline processes across Sales, Development, Product, and Marketing.
    • Help advocate for customer voice across organization.
    • Partner with leadership to operationalize company strategy/initiatives into CS process.
    • Previous experience effectively leading client-facing teams in client success, account management, or related function.
    • Experience at a SaaS software company is preferred but not required.
    • Adept people leader and coach who can continue to build a motivated and engaged team and help connect the Client Success role to the larger mission.
    • Ability to ideate strategies from scratch that will meet business objectives.
    • Shares our humble yet driven mentality and leads with an all-hands on deck approach.
    • Demonstrated experience in technical software sales/support and ability to learn quickly.
    • Is customer-driven and keeps the customer at the center of all our work.
    • Proven ability to implement metrics and data-based decision making to inform day-to-day operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and see them through to proven results.
    • Communicates effectively and is able to build buy-in and trust through relationship building.
    • Thrives in improving processes and increasing efficiency.
    • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with renewable energy a plus, but not required.
    • Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, Zendesk, Trello, and GitHub helpful, but not required.

    Salary Range: Starting from $100,000 gross yearly. The final offer will depend on experience, competencies, and expectations.
