Job Description
As the Manager of Federal Government Affairs you will support the development and implementation of Bosch’s public policy strategy in the United States to enable and advance our business. This includes the development and implementation of a government relations agenda that identifies and addresses critical policy topics, with a deep focus on the mobility sector and advanced technology fields. Critical to the role is a deep and demonstrated network at the federal level, particularly in the mobility arena.
You will join a fast-paced, highly-visible and efficient team in influencing policy to reflect Bosch business strategy. Together with the government affairs team, you will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, legislators, regulatory bodies, NGOs and trade associations at the federal and state level. The team is also responsible for monitoring and analyzing U.S. federal and state policies that could impact the company’s business.
In addition to supporting the public policy agenda for Bosch in the U.S, you will also work closely with business leaders to raise awareness of and align on policy matters. The Bosch government affairs team is part of the company’s communications and government affairs department.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and implement comprehensive government affairs priorities to advance the company's interests.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with policymakers, government agencies, and industry associations to advance and protect the company’s business objectives and reputation.
- Monitor and analyze legislative trends and developments, providing timely insights and potential business impacts to internal audiences.
- Counsel, prepare and support internal stakeholders to plan for and engage in government affairs work to support business and industry topics.
- Strongly advocate for company positions within industry trade associations to best position industry-wide policy and opportunity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align government affairs priorities with business objectives.
- Represent the company as an effective, authoritative spokesperson at meetings, hearings and industry events to effectively establish the company’s position on key matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years of proven experience in federal government affairs, lobbying or related roles.
- Proven federal lobbying experience, as well as demonstrated success in legislative and administrative advocacy in the mobility/technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of compliance laws related to advocacy and commitment to abiding by all requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute with speed, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Strong interest in the mobility and technology sectors, including emerging fields, sustainability, compliance and safety.
- Success in building and maintaining effective relationships with government officials and industry stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex issues verbally and through persuasive writing.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate and influence policy environments.
- Exhibit high personal integrity and ethics, aligned with the Bosch values and ethos.
