Are you ready to make a significant impact on a premier organization? Look no further! The New England Aquarium is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planned Giving Manager to join our high-reaching team in Boston, MA, USA.


As the Planned Giving Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization. You will have the opportunity to work with a team that consistently demonstrates exceptional work behaviors and contribute to our mission of protecting and conserving marine life through innovative research, education, and conservation initiatives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive planned giving program to attract and engage donors.
  2. Cultivate relationships with current and potential donors to promote planned giving opportunities.
  3. Lead a portfolio of planned giving donors, providing excellent stewardship and ensuring their philanthropic goals are met.
  4. Collaborate with the development team to integrate planned giving strategies into overall fundraising efforts.
  5. Stay informed about the latest industry trends and effective strategies in planned giving to improve program outcomes.
  6. Track and report on planned giving metrics to measure program success.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, fundraising, marketing).
  • Demonstrated experience in planned giving or major gifts fundraising, including a track record of successfully closing gifts.
  • Experience handling multiple projects and deadlines.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of planned giving vehicles and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to establish relationships and engage donors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and donor management software.
