The Manager, Payment Services reports to the Assistant Controller. The Manager, Payment Services is responsible for the ongoing management of all payment processing, alternate payment method relationships, reporting metrics and trends, and proactively identifying issues and opportunities to improve payment processing. Leadership, communication, managerial, and analytical skills are a requisite for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all functions of accounts payable and fee allocation team.
  • Overseeing routine department activities, such as disbursing checks to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time
  • Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing policies, processes, audits, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Executes continuous process improvements for accounts payable systems, writing procedures, and policies to improve efficiency.
  • Ensures timely and accurate accounting of invoices that leads to the presentation of timely and accurate financial results.
  • Reviews applicable accounting reports and accounts payable registers to ensure accuracy.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management
  • Setting and facilitating the achievement of functional objectives
  • Timely reconciling and clearing items received against invoices processed.
  • KPIs & Metrics. Establish appropriate team/dept KPIs and metrics and provide regular and timely team report outs on progress and course corrections (if needed).

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures
  • Experience with ERP accounting software and General Ledger, and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze information and processes
  • Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
