Program Manager- GEMINI

The GEMINI Program Manager is a key member of the Pediatric Translational Neuroscience Initiative (PTNI) team, reporting to the Director, Office of Strategy & Alliances (OSA). Launched in July 2024 as a Blue-Sky initiative, GEMINI utilizes the existing St. Jude expertise and infrastructure to create a world-class resource for the emerging field of precision medicine. Each GEMINI disease program has a PTNI program lead/sponsor and is advanced via five integrated working groups that focus on specific aspects of therapeutic development from pre-clinical, to manufacturing, to clinical treatment. The program manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the GEMINI program including managing resource requirements, training needs and deliverables, and integrating the knowledge and experience of the working groups across GEMINI disease programs. The program manager works closely with the Center for Pediatric Translational Neuroscience Research (CPNDR), the Center for Experimental Neuroscience (CENT) and with faculty and staff across the organization as well as with external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of a program including defining objectives, approaches, goals, governance mechanisms, resource deployment, periodic reviews, contingency planning and periodic reporting and communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally to achieve defined outcomes aligned with departmental strategies.
  • Drive internal stakeholder management and communications, management of external vendors, and strong partnership with stakeholders inside and outside the institution.
  • Track program and/or project success.
  • Provide oversight and management of program budgets through planning, control and tracking of expenditures.
  • Provide more complex analysis of data to create reports for senior leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.


Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree required.


Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: 4+ years experience in program management and delivery.
  • Experience designing and managing programs with focus on customer needs.
  • Experience in program budget tracking, reporting and risk management.
  • Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision making.
  • Experience providing guidance and mentorship within program management team.
  • Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain flexible in an evolving program environment.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining focus on the strategic vision for the program.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and goals across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience distilling large amounts of complex information into consumable pieces.
  • Discretion in handling, sharing and communicating sensitive and confidential information.


Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $78,000 - $139,360 per year for the role of Program Manager- GEMINI.
