Position: Manager, Risk Management

Location: New York, NY (Remote work from anywhere in the U.S. permitted)

Job Description

As a Manager of Risk Management, you will play a pivotal role in executing and overseeing projects aimed at maximizing risk mitigation and claim subrogation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, maintaining, and enhancing systems utilized by the risk mitigation team.
  • Leading a team of Risk Management Analysts to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and business partners.
  • Recruitment, training, and supervision of Risk Management Analysts to ensure the smooth daily operations of the risk management team.
  • Providing ad hoc reporting to management, other departments, and clients.
  • Managing vendors through risk assessments, contract negotiations, and onboarding processes.
  • Developing risk management strategies for new products and refining existing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Analytics, Data Analysis, Risk Management, or a related field, plus one (1) year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization), Confluence, and Jira.
  • Experience with HubSpot for stage/property design, workflow builds, reporting, and email templates.
  • Strong understanding of operational and third-party vendor risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, claims handling processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required.

Base Salary

The base salary range for this position is between $152,506-$167,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including experience, expertise, location, and market data.
