Managing Director

TravelHost is a subsidiary of Bridge News Media, and we are looking for a Managing Director to join our team in the San Diego, CA area. TravelHost is a tourist traveler’s guide to the local market. We have been in publication for almost fifty-five consecutive years in the United States! We are looking for energetic people who are creative thinkers and can tell a good story. In this role you will be the face of our brand, building a magazine for destination tourist travelers. In your local market, you will be a leader who drives the marketing initiatives through print, digital, and local broadcast.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop an effective marketing strategy based on the goals of the organization in print, digital and broadcast
• Secure media placement opportunities for the TravelHost brand in your local market
• Provide local travel content for publishers to promote
• Measure effectiveness of each marketing medium
• Participate in industry events for engaging with relevant accounts
• Monitor competitor activity in the marketplace to identify opportunities for product differentiation or new product development

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years in the marketing field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning and organization skills, including attention to detail
• Dynamic leader who takes initiative
• Creative thinker with good story telling abilities
• High energy personality with a sense of humor
