Our Newest Opportunity:

The Managing Principal is responsible for managing (either independently or collaboratively with an RMP) the strategic direction and profitable growth of a field office and its operations. The MP is also responsible for strategically growing the office and operations through organic growth, client retention and mergers & acquisitions. Revenue generation, business acumen, team building, and general leadership skills are critical to success.

Responsibilities:

  • For MPs within a region without direct P/L responsibilities: Works collaboratively with RMP and/or corporate and regional leadership teams to develop annual goals and ensures those goals are met or exceeded OR
  • For Principals with direct P/L management responsibility: Works collaboratively with COO or RMP to develop annual goals and manages P/L accordingly
  • Identifies and facilitates local partnership and acquisition opportunities
  • Coaches, develops and serves as overall leader for all staff
  • Leverages the company’s national and local resources to drive greater operational efficiencies
  • Serves as most senior resource in the office to help identify and efficiently resolve employee relations and operational issues
  • Builds and fosters a positive workplace culture
  • Champions programs and initiatives undertaken by the company
  • Carries positive messages and creates a compelling vision for the company’s future

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with professionalism and discretion
  • Proven experience attracting, developing and retaining an “A” player workforce and creating a positive atmosphere conducive to productivity
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the insurance business
  • Ability to effectively manage P/L statements
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, develop and grow employees
  • Ability to prioritize business activities that contribute to top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Ability to clearly articulate the company’s value proposition to potential prospects
  • Builds collaborative relationships and exhibits influence skills
  • Ability to travel within assigned region and to corporate office several times a year

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ of successful agency management experience in the insurance industry; required
  • Bachelor's Degree, required; Advanced Degree, preferred
  • Current Life and Health license, required
  • Must be up to date and knowledgeable on Health Care Reform and health and ancillary insurance products

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
