Job Description Summary
The Logistics Leader will report directly to the Materials Manager and will be responsible for leading the shipping and stock keeper teams while developing a robust process for shipments inbound/outbound with an emphasis on creating a competitive advantage through world-class logistics for the ITI business. Logistics leader will also be responsible for identifying and leading key projects with the materials team.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules. Recognized as a professional expert, leads a team and a very complex function, regularly influences management, and develops/implements system-wide strategic business plans for their organization. Strategically plans and schedules material/production needs. Deep expertise on the level of a technological field.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Create an environment that sustains a high level of healthy and safety for the team.
- Lead and develop shipping and stock keeper team members.
- Demonstrate cross-functional leadership skills working closely with global teams including suppliers, customers, carriers, freight-forwarders, project management and supply chain.
- Ability to learn while complying with domestic and international trade regulations.
- Lead the effort to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of logistic procedures, written documentation, work instructions, and cross training plans.
- Optimize inventory and process improvements.
- Lead resolution on all logistics related issues.
- Works on complex technological solutions. Solve issues and develop new solutions requiring the usage of methods and approaches with some precedence.
- Inputs and influences decisions within own discipline and area of expertise. Communicates and recommendations solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.
- Provide pro-active transportation/delivery information to our customers.
- Monitor customer arranged freight and freight forwarders to ensure all required documentation is available for on-time shipments.
- Interface daily with internal teams to meet business objectives and external customer requirements.
- Complete all international shipment activities related to Certificates of Origins, NAFTA, commodity codes, letters of credit, customs, export regulations, packing lists, etc.
- Implement and maintain best practices on warehouse storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement actions to ensure inventory accuracy minimum of 99%.
- Cost Management: Develop projects to best leverage cost effective terms/conditions for both domestic and international carriers.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University/College (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics or Materials Management)
- Minimum of 3 years working in a Manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years working with an ERP system.
- Oracle/SAP knowledge and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certification.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English).
