Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program’s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with designers, videographers, and other members of our marketing team to write engaging copy through a variety of channels including traditional, digital, social, and more.
• Use your words to help compel consumers and individuals to take the first step in their homeownership journey while assisting our wide array of credit unions, brokers, and loan officers along the way.
• Ensure brand and voice consistency is maintained across all channels (UHM brand voice, style, tone, etc.).
• Be flexible with tight deadlines and last-minute changes based on business needs.
  
  

Qualifications

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Ability to write short-term (headlines, subhead) and long-term (articles, paragraphs, etc).
• Ability to collaborate and think up strong conceptual campaigns that speak to a creative brief.
• Excellent grammar and spelling.
• Self-motivated and able to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with an encouraging, team-centric attitude.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Working toward a bachelor’s or associate’s degree
• Perusal of a Journalism, Marketing or English degree is a plus.
