Job Description

Oversee all Material Planning activities in the factory including procurement or raw material and packaging, Raw Material and WIP Inventory, Production scheduling of 4 lines, Off-Line Press and Repack, Cycle counting, SAP master data, etc.

• Ensure all safety policies are followed within the factory
• Oversee Production Planning, Receiving, and Material Handling in the facility
• Oversee returnable packaging
• Maintain capacity planning for all equipment and labor
• Oversee all purchasing activities
• Work to resolve invoice issues
• Maintain routings in SAP
• Oversee cycle counting of raw material, packaging, & semi-finished goods
• Lead continuous improvement teams for inventory accuracy
• Participate in continuous improvement activities in all departments
• Maintain target inventory dollars for all materials
• Ensure FIFO is being followed on all materials
• Communicate recovery plans directly with customer service as needed
• Write, implement, & monitor work instructions and procedures in designate areas
• Develop a future vision and strategy for materials planning together with best practices from Sika Automotive
• Benchmark existing procedures and practices across each facility, and other regions
• Develop standard processes, work instructions and methods of work for materials planning
• Develop and report standard metrics and results
• Organize meetings to solve reported problems and develop corrective actions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
• 3 years plus experience in supply chain management
• SAP experience a plus
• Able to work with cross functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and maintain high standards
• Solid interpersonal and follow up skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
