Mechanical Engineer
HEAT is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer at HEAT, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our groundbreaking remote-sensing device used to detect and measure on-road vehicle emissions. With our growing client base, we are in need of a skilled Mechanical Engineer to help us meet the demands of our expanding operations.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must be able to wear many different hats and contribute to a range of projects. This job requires over 40% travel both within North America and internationally to perform the emissions testing equipment setup and project management for extended durations.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new features and enhancements for our remote-sensing device
- Conduct extensive research and analysis to optimize the performance and efficiency of the device
- Create detailed engineering specifications and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
- Manage and oversee the prototyping and testing of new components and subsystems
- Perform rigorous testing and evaluation of the device to ensure it meets quality and performance standards
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the manufacturing process
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external partners during the device production and assembly processes
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the automotive or environmental industry
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
