Thank you to RSI, Strata-G, LLC, and Longenecker & Associates, Inc. for joining us in this effort. We are so proud to be partnering with ETCH to support the behavioral and mental health of East Tennessee's children.
East Tennessee Children's Hospital is excited to announce the expansion of our mental health education programs. Thanks to the support of United Cleanup Oak Ridge (UCOR), we will be introducing the first behavioral health consultant to the Oak Ridge Primary Care office as part of our pilot mental health program. Additionally, we will be providing mental health first aid education to selected staff. Mental health first aid empowers our patients by having staff assist them, rather than the patients having to manage on their own. This significant shift in mental health care will bring about real change within our adolescent community. Simple techniques such as breathing exercises, modulation of tone of voice, or asking questions without using the word "you" can help a child open up about their anxiety and diffuse a stressful situation.
