Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical components that take Yondr products to the next level. Duties & Responsibilities
Design and Development
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing.
- Develop innovative solutions to meet product requirements and improve existing designs.
Manufacturing Processes
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes such as die casting, injection molding, sheet metal forming, and CNC machining in the design and production stages to ensure high-quality and efficient manufacturing.
Mechanical Systems
- Design and analyze mechanical systems, including gears, locks, latching, and other components.
- Perform simulations and testing to validate designs and ensure system reliability and performance.
Materials Selection
- Select appropriate materials for various applications, considering strength, durability, weight, and cost.
- Conduct material testing and analysis as needed.
Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and project progress.
- Prepare and present technical reports and design reviews.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Software Proficiency: High level of expertise in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design. Proficiency in designing mechanical systems, including gears, locks, and latching systems.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Location
- Los Angeles
- Hybrid role - 2 days required at the Yondr office in Mar Vista.

Compensation
- $93 - $98k
