Mechanical R&D Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical R&D Engineer. This position will be based at Grand Prairie, TX.

You will make an impact by:

• Lead new product development projects for Low Voltage Switchgear. Engineer innovative designs for new products utilizing Creo.
• Create multiple design concepts & perform trade-off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solution.
• Manage and plan projects including scope of work, schedules, costs, and completion dates.
• Prepare prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Prepare and execute test plans.
• Work with cross functional team to drive projects to completion.
• Create part and assembly drawings, BOMs, Engineering Change Notices
  
  

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• BSME
• 3 - 8 years’ experience in new Product Development Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of Creo or similar 3d modelling software.
• A proven track record of developing design concepts with a comprehensive evaluation of all interfaces and contributing factors
• Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and testing.
• Hands-on prototyping experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal (CFD) simulation expertise
• Low Voltage Switchgear or Switchboard design experience.
• MSME
• Creative and analytical thinking with an ability to work alone or in a group setting.
• Knowledge of Configurable / Modular design methodology

• The pay range for this position is $73,080 - 152,880. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
