Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Microsoft 365 workloads and related systems like SEG.
  • Assist in the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, desktops, and servers.
  • Evaluate and install new software, hardware, and technical solutions to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with SaaS systems, LAN/WAN networks, firmware, hardware, and software by running diagnostics, documenting issues and solutions, assessing impact, and effectively communicating with management.
  • Follow, recommend, implement, and monitor security controls to maintain the company's overall security posture.
  • Apply best security practices, including system patching, implementing appropriate user controls, and recommending company policies and security frameworks.
  • Provide helpdesk support for end-users, document issues and resolutions, assess the impact of problems, and find solutions for recurring issues.
  • Create effective documentation for both end-users and technical purposes.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT/IS/MIS, or at least 5 years of relevant IT experience. Other degrees and certifications will be considered.
  • 5 years of system administration experience.
  • Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
  • Capability to develop repeatable and reliable processes.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 Design and Administration, including Identity, Intune Suite, and Exchange. Knowledge of mail flow and email delivery troubleshooting is beneficial.
  • Additional consideration for knowledge of Azure services, compute, storage, and related technologies.
  • Certifications in security, system administration, Microsoft 365, networking, client-server concepts, firewall, printing, Mac, and MDM are beneficial.
  • Ability to script and automate tasks using common scripting languages and automation tools such as PowerShell for Windows and Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery fundamentals, including disaster recovery protocols, testing, and documentation.
