Amitech is seeking a full-time .Net Developer (US: Remote) for an internal project for our client in Little Rock, AR. The successful .Net Developer will work on a complex, and large, healthcare .NET web application used by thousands of users, performing enhancements, and bug fixing.

Your Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish

Objective #1:

Within your first 30 days, you will learn and begin to implement Amitech's standard of operations for developers:

  • Learn and utilize the company's development environment and tools
  • Review the codebase to understand the architecture and design patterns
  • Meet with the team members to understand their roles, responsibilities, and workflows
  • Participate in code reviews to learn more about the company's coding standards and best practices
  • Attend team meetings to familiarize yourself on the current projects

Objective #2:

Within your first 60 days, you will successfully complete your first project:

  • Take ownership of a small project (enhancements) and complete it successfully
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality code on time
  • Participate in discussions about the architecture and design of upcoming projects
  • Take the initiative to suggest improvements to existing systems or processes

Objective #3:

Within your first 90 days, you will work on more advanced projects:

  • Take on more complex and challenging projects, demonstrating increased proficiency and expertise
  • Participate in discussions around system scalability, security, and performance
  • Explore new technologies and tools that could benefit the team and company
  • Take the initiative to suggest and lead new projects that could improve the company's products or processes

Competencies – What We are Looking For

Technical Competency to translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications and enhancements. You will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks and bug fixes. You'll design, build, troubleshoot and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code and ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications. You have a knack for writing clean, readable and easily maintainable code. You have experience with popular web application frameworks. You understand fundamental design principles for building a scalable application. You are proficient in C# and/or VB.NET with good knowledge of their ecosystems, and a strong knowledge of .NET web framework ASP.net and .NET Core. You're proficient in Agile Methodology (experience with SAFe is a plus). You're familiar with concurrency patterns. You have some experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server. You have experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests and a proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitHub. You have experience with project management tools, such as Azure Dev Ops, TFS, or JIRA.

You should be comfortable taking nebulous direction, translating it into a plan, and enlisting those you need to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. While designing, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable code, you will maintain the highest code quality, organization, and automatization. You need to bring ideas and direction, but eagerly embrace feedback and integrate that into the final product.
