Network Engineer will work both in-house and remote assigned projects, working directly with clients on occasion. As part of an organization's IT team, Network Engineer will work closely with the End User Computing group, Cloud & Computer team, Identity & Collaboration group, as well as other Network Engineers and Business Analysts .

  • Designing and implementation of new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP, both with physical and virtual network environments.
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
  • Configuring firewalls, routers and switches to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Maintain network documentation, run-books, diagrams, and network assets in the configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders
  • Covering all aspects of firewall administration such as hardware, operating system, encryption tunnels, day-to- operations of firewall rule sets, intrusion protection systems, routing, and VPNs, Load Balancers
  • Enforce network security strategies and procedures.
  • Engineer network solutions and standards based on requirements, best practices, and technical knowledge.
  • Participate in network security planning and network engineering.
  • Perform scopes of work as detailed in implementation plans assigned, such as, system builds, test plans, documentation, and training.
  • Implement and deploy data and network security projects, change management, ongoing maintenance activities, and network engineering support.
  • Execute service requests and document changes (such as new environment builds, major changes, version upgrades)


Job Qualifications And Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Information Technology or System is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Degrees and preferred certifications:
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Software/Computer Systems Engineering
  • Computer Systems And Networks
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Network Security Management
  • CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, AWS, ITIL, JNCIE, CISSP, CCISP, SP, JNCIP, Azure
  • 5+ years' experience in Network Engineer
  • Experience with: OSPF, TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, HTTP, Load balancing, VRF, IPSec, QoS, InfoBlox's, Cisco Meraki Operations Dashboard.
  • Experience in both physical and virtual network environments
  • Knowledge of terminal based tools
  • At least 2 years' experience in building Cloud Solutions
  • At least 2 years' experience in flexible network architecture for cloud environments
