New Era Technology is a global IT integrator with 2,500+ employees delivering Collaboration, Cloud, Data Networking, Security, Large Venue, and Corporate AV and Managed Service Solutions to more than 9,000 customers.

We currently have a need for a Network Solutions Architect to design and implement solutions for Global Network Infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant work experience in Networking, Network Security, and overseeing strategic Technology Programs at Enterprise Clients. Global Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Managed Service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to discuss requirements or plans for new solutions.
  • Develop engineering solutions and explain technologies to customers. Help them with gathering requirements and finding a solution for hardware and engineering services.
  • Provide recommendations on viability, implementation strategies and optimal implementation of solutions.
  • Review technical requirements with Account Management team as well as the client and prepare statement of work (SOW’s), level of effort and bill of materials (BOM’s) for projects.
  • Develop design and system configuration based on technical requirements
  • Recommend enhancements/changes to system design as appropriate
  • Develop and deploy scalable solutions for LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Identify, research, evaluate and implement emerging network technologies.
  • Responsible for configuration, installation and maintenance and in-depth troubleshooting tasks and documenting any network issues.
  • Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with vendors.
  • Escalation of problems as appropriate to management.
  • Create standard deployment and support documentation to be handed over to the network operations group
  • Train deployment/field engineers for on-site deployment/troubleshooting

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas
  • 10+ years’ experience with enterprise-level network design and deployment with Cisco technologies
  • Experience preparing SOW and BOMs.
  • Proficient with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core routing and switching, LAN/WAN/ MAN services
  • Proficient in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, MPLS-TP
  • Experience with Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 2k configuration and design.
  • Familiarity and/or hands on experience with SDWAN and Cloud Solutions.
  • Experience designing data center infrastructures with ACI and SDN.
  • Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts
  • Utilizing scripting tools
  • Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including packet-level traffic analysis
  • Current Cisco data networking certifications i.e. CCNP, CCDP, CCIE strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in large enterprise networks is desired. The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to these roles.

Physical Demands

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
  • Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
