OVERVIEW:
Marc JacobsInternational, powered bythe creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks aHuman Resources Generalist to join the Human Resources team based in itsNew York City (SoHo) headquarters.

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Generalist is responsible for providing HR support to the Marc Jacobs corporate population. This position will be a partner and driver for the People Lifecyle including Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Onboarding, Performance Management & Development, HR Reporting and Administration. The ideal candidate will understand Marc Jacobs’ business, be proactive and support managers and employees throughout all lifecycle events (including temporary employees and consultants).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Engagement & Onboarding:

  • Facilitate key HR programs including but not limited to organizational effectiveness, retention, and compensation.
  • Participate in Employee Resource Groups, committees, and councils; support execution of related activations, events, and initiativessuch as Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Lead the onboarding process by managing new hire paperwork and conducting check-in meetings.
Performance Management & Development:
  • Assist with annual performance review process and mid-year succession planning.
  • Collaborate on ad-hoc projects with specialized HR functions (e.g., talent acquisition, learning and development, etc..) to enhance the impact of HR initiatives.
  • Assess opportunities and areas of development within the business and make solutions-based recommendations, including but not limited to policies & procedures, training needs, recognition programs, etc.
Employee Relations:
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee performance management, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with performance improvement plans, investigations, terminations, and employee relations cases.
  • Analyze employee relations trends with key stakeholders and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.
HR Reporting and Administration:
  • Consistently analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the Leave Process in partnership with Compensation and Benefits team.
  • Provide Human Resources policy guidance and interpretation with the business.
  • Act as the primary contact for all HR administrative aspects across all organizational levels.
  • Performs other ad hoc duties, as assigned by Human Resources Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources required.
  • Strong Human Resources sensibility and critical thinking.
  • Excellent time management and follow-through skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Team player and proactive personality.
  • Maturity and discretion to handle confidential matters.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Passion for People.
  • Must be available to work onsite in the office multiple days per week.

SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:

The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000-$80,000(annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
