We are looking for a full-time RN to work as a Surgical Services Nurse Educator at our newest Townsen Memorial West Hospital! The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, ambitious, and a team player.
Responsibilities
Responsible for determining staff education specific needs based on needs assessment.
Assures that staff meets required competencies, both annual and unit based for area of practice.
Identifies and develops strategies to facilitate a continuous process of maturation through lifelong learning.
Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
Ability to work in a self-directed manner, collaborating and coordinating with health care professionals.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Registered Nurse (active and unencumbered license) in the State of Texas.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or other clinical field.
Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or other clinical field preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
Three (3) years of experience working in the Operating Room.
