Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Instructor to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills for entry-level nursing roles. Utilizing diverse teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and technology, you will foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

This is a remote/telecommuting position.

Job Duties

Develop and implement performance-based objectives and outlines for the course of study, adhering to curriculum guidelines and requirements.

Organize and deliver practical and technical instruction, including skills demonstrations and theoretical lectures relevant to the Nurse Aide profession.

Teach students the use, maintenance, and safe operation of tools and equipment, as well as relevant codes and regulations.

Emphasize the importance of accuracy, neatness, efficiency, resourcefulness, and good work habits in obtaining employment as a Nurse Aide.

Assign lessons, correct homework, and administer tests to evaluate students' knowledge and practical skills.

Maintain accurate records of daily attendance and student progress; report to the Lead Instructor and Director of Education.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, to present subject matter effectively.

Assist students with lesson assignments, reinforce learning concepts, and respond to basic questions; may initiate study groups for exam preparation.

Enforce classroom protocols, rules, and regulations; maintain discipline and apply effective classroom management techniques.

Attend meetings and training sessions as required; participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and professional development workshops.

Conduct class evaluations and complete other college evaluations as per policy.

Suggest curriculum improvements to the Program Chair/Lead, in line with the objectives of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

Supervise eligible students at approved clinical sites.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum of an associate degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing in Louisiana.

At least two years of experience working as an LPN caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill, or equivalent experience in settings such as nursing facilities, geriatrics departments, chronic care hospitals, or other long-term care environments.

Strong multi-tasking abilities and capability to handle competing priorities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, peers, and the community.

Professional integrity and discretion.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $90,000-$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This range represents the base pay and does not include other components of the total rewards package. Your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
