This #WomensEqualityDay, we're grateful to our founders Rebekah E. Gee MD MPH and Rebecca Kavoussi for building a solution and team to lift up women, families, and communities. Health happens at home. Health happens in families. Women's equality and health begins with supporting families and communities. At Nest Health, we understand just how deeply social drivers like housing & food insecurity and economic instability impact a family's health and well-being. On this Women’s Equality Day and every day, the Nest team is dedicated to addressing critical care gaps by building a healthcare model that prioritizes women and families.

#LifeintheNest: Each month, the full Nest Health team gathers in our "Parliament" meetings to talk strategy, share recent learnings and challenges, and to recognize our monthly "Featured Feather." The Featured Feather award goes to someone who is living out the Nest values of Collaboration, Humility, Authenticity, Resourcefulness, and Joy (CHARJ) day in and day out. Last month, we celebrated our Featured Feather, Manager, Coding, CDI, and Billing, Donna Watson. Donna ensures our clinical team delivers excellent care to Nest families by meeting all compliance requirements and accurately documenting our time with them. She provides all of the information that our health plan partners need so that they can record the value we drive through exceptional patient care. Donna has been instrumental in developing world-class policies and identifying operational needs as we continue to grow and onboard new payer partners. Congratulations, Donna! We're so lucky to have you in the Nest.

We're so proud to share that #TulaneVentures' first investment is to Nest Health. We're honored to be partnered with such an innovative and community-centered organization to scale excellent care to more families across Louisiana, together. We shared the news last week at an event hosted by the Tulane University Innovation Institute where our Founder & CEO Rebekah E. Gee MD MPH, alongside two of her daughters, introduced a showing of the film "Show Her the Money." The event provided female founders and entrepreneurs the space to talk about challenges they face in fundraising and building businesses.
