Verdesian Life Sciences (www.vlsci.com) is seeking a person to fill the role of office administrator in the corporate office in Cary, North Carolina. This person will work in the office Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays.
This position is responsible for administrative responsibilities at the corporate office in Cary, NC and provides support to the executive team. This role works with multiple leaders on various projects and serves as a “right-hand” partner to accomplish these projects. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager in the corporate office.

This position is responsible for administrative responsibilities at the corporate office in Cary, NC and provides support to the executive team. This role works with multiple leaders on various projects and serves as a “right-hand” partner to accomplish these projects. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager in the corporate office.
Essential Responsibilities
- Completing a broad variety of office related administrative tasks such as: assisting with UPS shipments - labels, etc.; maintaining and ordering UPS supplies, daily pick-up and distribution of incoming mail / outgoing mail, maintaining inventory of office supplies and equipment needs (copy paper, postage machine supplies, etc.) and overseeing expense requirements for office related purchases. These responsibilities also include vendor negotiations for office supplies and coding and processing invoices for office management and benefit vendors for approval and payment by Accounts Payable.
- Maintaining office hospitality readiness including meal and beverage service, waiting area, and business and breakroom supplies/equipment, ordering supplies as needed and ensuring conference rooms are kept neat and clean.
- Support to the CEO and executive leadership team as needed – calendaring, expense reports using Concur system, travel arrangements, meeting arrangements, and presentations. This includes assisting with Board meeting preparation and local arrangements.
- Supporting the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team and the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team on various data driven projects. This would include entering data into spreadsheets and database(s), along with creation and maintenance of spreadsheets.
- Other duties as assigned.
