Position Purpose
The Dartmouth Center for Social Impact ( DCSI ) seeks to educate Dartmouth undergraduates to be transformative leaders for the common good through community-based experiential learning. This position provides coordination for the Center’s operational aspects including vehicle and transportation management. This position requires a candidate with a commitment to social impact, a collaborative work style, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Database Management, etc.).
  • Experience with event coordination.
  • Celebration of and commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Key Accountabilities

Description
Transportation Coordination: Coordinates the DCSI vehicle fleet and driver training processes managing compliance with college-approved driver process, executing vehicle scheduling, collaborating with college vehicle rental vendors, and scheduling and coordinating vehicle maintenance. This will include occasionally manually removing ice and snow from fleet of vehicles and surrounding locations.

Description
Operational Support: Provides a variety of operational support functions for the Center for Social Impact and the Social Impact Practicums Program including but not limited to answering the Center’s main phone line, monitoring the Center’s email account, coordinating travel logistics, entering financial payments, and reconciling expenses, and data entry. Provides back up and general administrative support for other areas of the Center as needed.

Description
Event and Meeting Coordination: works with DCSI team to coordinate center-wide and program specific events including reservations, logistics, budget, catering, travel, set-up, and take-down.

Percentage Of Time 20%

Description
Communications: Works with Communications team and Director to coordinate creation and logistics of content for a variety of the Center’s communication mediums including newsletters, mailings, and social media.
