Human Resource Dimensions has been retained to place a talented, driven, sustainability-minded Technical Field Engineer to join our client’s quickly growing North America team. The role is full-time, home-based, and requires constant travel within the North America region. This role will report to the VP / GM North America and will be managed and receive professional guidance from the CTO; Furthermore, the role will work closely with and will be part of their Global Technology team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing prompt and effective technical support to their:
- Customers running their films and laminates on their packaging equipment operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and a smooth experience.
- Production partners producing their films and laminates, ensuring stable production processes and continuous improvement of process conditions.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety and act as a safety leader in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Understand and address partner/customer requirements related to processes, products, and issues.
- Identify film, laminate or finished products problems and ensure that they are properly communicated to the appropriate staff representatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
- Participate in field trials of new packaging materials.
- Participate in the commercial production of their products.
- Take responsibility for scheduling own time and travel based on customer priority.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales personnel, and internal staff.
- Submit reports within 5 days, complete expense reports within one month of business trips, and provide weekly schedules within designated time frames.
- Possess a technical degree
- 5-15 years’ experience working at converters in the flexible packaging industry
- Willingness to travel 60% or more and hold a valid driver’s license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adhesive lamination (solvent, solvent-less, water based)
- Printing (flexo, digital)
- Slitting
- Bag-pouch making
- Blown film co-extrusion
- Extrusion lamination & coating
- Experience in providing technical sales support
