Position
The Panel Fabrication/Assembly Technician is located at our Fort Worth, TX Office. Become a part of an energetic, highly motivated, and successful team at VandZandt Controls and Eagle Automation.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
Construct and assemble panels from layout to completion.
Identify electrical panel components physically and by drawing interpretation.
Ability to troubleshoot panel wiring.
Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices.
Assist with assembly of other products as required.
Use of small hand tools, tape measure, speed square, and small power tools.
Use of Multi-meter and Insulation Tester
Soldering of components when required.
Keep a clean and orderly work station/area.
Understand safety in the work place as it applies to yourself, others, and property.
Required Skills
Good background in electrical schematic reading, component layout, wiring methods, electrical machine assembly, trouble shooting and problem solving.
Knowledge of UL508, NEMA electrical standards, and National Electric Code a plus!

Part of a self-directed work force requiring minimal supervision, must have good communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds
Experience
1-3 years as Panel Builder, Automation Technician, Controls Technician, or equivalent.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics Technology or similar is highly desirable.
