Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (the “Company”), a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap, Inc. (NYSE:MMI) is seeking a temporary part time Analyst, Capital Markets, to join a top producing commercial real estate debt and equity origination team. The candidate will support the team in the origination and execution of financing transactions and will be responsible for financial modeling, market and sponsor due diligence, and assisting with the creation of offering memorandum. This role is designated to be a non-exempt position.
This role requires working up to 20 hours per week, and the length of assignment is approximately 6 months. The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Manhattan, NY is $16.00 - $20.00/hour. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Marcus & Millichap is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engagement agreements.
- Review and input property rent rolls, leases, and operating statements.
- Perform due diligence on prospective and existing clients using various data sources.
- Research local real estate markets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Assist in the development of pro-formafinancialsandcashflow models.
- Request and coordinate transaction documentation.
- Follow up with clients, prospective buyers, and investors on issues related to transaction closings.
- Ensure required closing documentation is posted to internal systems.
- 1 to 3 years of commercial real estate experience in advisory, banking, or valuation.
- Pursuing advanced degree in commercial real estate, finance, or accounting required.
- Financial modeling skills with core competency using Excel.
- Financial modeling skills with Argus is preferred.
- High attention to detail in analytical assessments and valuations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and productively during time sensitive situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a team player attitude.
- Flexible attitude with the ability to handle change effectively.
