Roles and Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for all assigned preschool teacher duties including the creation of a welcoming learning environment, the implementation of Early Childhood curriculum, designing innovative hands-on activities with clear learning targets, assessment of student progress, management of the classroom, parent communication, and collaboration and with other district staff.

Qualifications

  • Current teaching license required
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of child development
  • Ability to use current, effectual early childhood teaching methods
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students that result in high levels of student engagement in learning
  • Previous experience working with preschool age children

Preferences: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students. Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
