Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Hours The part-time, day shift position is 24 hours/week, 700 am – 330 pm and every 3rd weekend.

  • The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
  • Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
  • Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.
  • Assists with the planning and provision of structured, age appropriate activities for patients under the guidance or direction of a Child Life Therapist.
  • Monitors children’s activities and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment for children.

Required

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Ohio STNA license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
