Performance & Attribution Specialist

Acadian Asset Management LLC is a Boston-headquartered investment management firm with wholly owned affiliates located in Singapore, London, and Sydney. As of March 31, 2024, the firm managed approximately US$110 billion on behalf of major pension funds, endowments, foundations, governments and other investors based in the U.S. and abroad.

Position Overview:

The Performance and Attribution Group is charged with ensuring prompt, accurate data, calculations and reporting for all portfolios and composites, as well as other performance-related analytics for a variety of purposes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for investments and problem solving, along with strong technical skills, great attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication skills. Excel, SQL, data validation experience, and a solid mathematics background are preferred.


Acadian supports a hybrid work environment; employees are on-site in the Boston office 3 days a week.


What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Global Client Group and other internal teams to ensure prompt, accurate performance information for consultant databases, client requests and questionnaires.
  • Review and validate benchmark, accounting, performance attribution data, and results for accuracy.
  • Maintain monthly and ad hoc report production schedule to facilitate deadline-oriented projects and objectives.
  • Run and analyze attributions using third-party and proprietary systems; provide qualitative and quantitative attribution analysis internally/externally as requested.
  • Provide quality assurance of output from performance and attribution systems and resolution of issues.
  • Identify improvements to existing processes to further gain operational efficiency and productivity.



We’re Looking for Teammates With:

  • Bachelor’s degree; progress towards graduate degree and/or CIPM/CFA certification a plus.
  • Two years of work experience in investment operations or performance/attribution, (or support of) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess extensive problem solving, troubleshooting skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible, able to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
