Jefferson Apothecary in the Gibbon Building at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is currently looking to fill a pharmacy intern position. The Apothecary is a robust outpatient pharmacy setting which mainly services discharge patients and employee health.

The position is part-time per diem, primarily weekday afternoons (after class, up to 6 PM) and Saturdays 9 AM to 4 PM. Additional hours are available during summer and holiday breaks.

Responsibilities: The individual will procure, store and aid in the dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies related to both patient and departmental needs. To prepare for a future role as a pharmacist by combining knowledge of pharmaceuticals with technical and clinical experiences learned during the internship program.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Matriculating in an accredited college of pharmacy. Pharmacy Intern Registry Eligible, not required. Experience is preferred, but not required.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.
