SpineSearch is seeking to fill an opening for a Physician Assistant to join a leading academic healthcare system's neurosurgery department based in New Orleans

Requirements of the Physician Assistant:
Master's Degree
Louisiana Physician Assistant license
Board certification
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in neuro, spine, ortho or related specialty
Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant:
Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders, and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including giving injections.
Take a patient’s medical history/record demographics
Order and interpret tests
Conduct physical examinations
Diagnose and treat illnesses
Write prescriptions
Counsel patients on preventative care
Involves both inpatient rounding and seeing patients in outpatient clinic setting
