Our client is a $100 million consumer product manufacturer and distributor that has been in business for more than 70 years. Due to growth and promotion, they are looking to hire a new Plant Controller. This person will be the key financial business partner to the operational management team as well as the corporate parent company. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing a staff of three.
Duties include:
Lead month end close process and financial reporting
Establish accurate product costs and advise sales team on competitive pricing strategy
Provide manufacturing variance analysis and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost saving opportunities
Oversee payables, receivables, credit and collections and closely manage cash flow
Manage inventory reporting
Lead annual budgeting and period forecasting
Prepare required bank reports and maintain banking relationships
Coordinate annual audits with external auditors
Develop strong cross-functional partnerships within the plant and the corporate parent company
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
6+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing or distribution required
Experience in product costing and sales finance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
