Plant General Manager (Plastic/Mold Tooling)

An established, industry leading industrial manufacturer in Southern Indiana is actively seeking a Plant General Manager to oversee their plastic injection molding tooling operation. Our client manufactures plastic injection molded components and is an industry leader in their respective product line.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Candidate will report to the Director of Operations while managing (5) salaried direct reports in a high speed, non-union plastic tool shop.
• Complete ownership over the plant manufacturing/operations function
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and department business plan goals.
• Establish Production KPI's, and deliverables
• Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues..
• Direct department process improvements and corrective actions.
• Provide key input into the development of the department strategic business plan and identify and track key measurables to support the department business plan goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must have at least 5 years of tooling leadership experience
• Prior experience working within plastic injection molding tooling is required
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• Candidate should be well versed in Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Continuous Improvement
