Position Details

Summary of Duties:

Serve as the principal assistant to the Director and Associate Director in matters related to the operations of the Department including a variety of complex projects and confidential issues. Must exercise independent judgment and discretion in work directly related to management policies or department business operations. Will have delegated authority to make commitments that affect the department operations. May represent the Directors in meetings when necessary. At the direction of the Directors, will serve as the primary point of contact for the department on complex and confidential issues. This position also provides oversight of operational activities including processing payroll/travel and providing administrative and advisory support to the University Parking and Transportation Task Force, Transit Advisory Group, and other Transportation Committees. In collaboration with management, will serve and the lead on developing departmental policies/procedures, and planning activities requiring advanced or specialized knowledge and skills.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible management work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with the WSU parking system.
  • Knowledge and experience with Workday

Monthly Salary

$4,508.70 - $5,635.87 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. For additional information, please review WSU’s Administrative Professional Compensation.
