Responsibilities:

  • Design and Optimize Fabrication Processes: Develop and refine semiconductor fabrication techniques, including deposition, lithography, etching, and doping, to enhance the performance of RF circuits.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with university and industry partners to bridge theoretical research with practical semiconductor applications.
  • Conduct Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure device reliability, performance, and consistency.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve fabrication processes, staying informed on the latest advancements in semiconductor manufacturing and quantum computing.
  • Characterization and Testing: Utilize characterization techniques for electrical testing and assessment of material properties to ensure the optimal performance of fabricated devices.
  • Maintain Cleanroom Standards: Adhere to cleanroom protocols, ensuring safe operation of equipment and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document processes and results, providing detailed reports and analysis to inform ongoing research and development efforts.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on semiconductor devices and fabrication processes.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, quantum mechanics, and solid-state physics.
  • Proficiency in semiconductor fabrication techniques such as deposition, lithography, etching, and doping, with a deep understanding of how these processes impact device performance.
  • Experience with characterization techniques for electrical testing, assessing material properties, and evaluating device performance.
  • Familiarity with software tools for process simulation, device modeling, and data analysis.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication, preferably in a research or industry setting.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
