The Role

Workweek is seeking a Producer (Audio & Video) with 2+ years of experience in audio and video editing. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes podcasts and is eager to build relationships with some of the top B2B creators in the market as their dedicated producer within Workweek’s network. You will work with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition) and Riverside FM for podcast recording. Part of your responsibilities will include researching the latest formats, tools, and creator & guest experiences that help elevate our podcasts to the next level. This position will report to our Managing Producer and is ideally located in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end production for a series of podcasts, including recording, editing, and post-production of all audio and video deliverables.
  • Collaborate with creators to develop engaging podcast content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Act as the dedicated producer for a set of creators, understanding their unique needs and helping them achieve their vision.
  • Ensure that all content meets Workweek’s quality standards and aligns with the brand’s voice and goals.
  • Provide regular updates to the Managing Producer on the progress of ongoing projects.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from listeners and creators to inform future content and production improvements.
  • Work closely with marketing, social media, and other teams to ensure podcasts are effectively promoted and reach the intended audience.
  • Collaborate on multimedia projects that might include video content or other forms of digital media related to the podcasts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in audio and video editing, with a strong portfolio of podcast and video projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in post-production workflows using the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition) and Riverside FM for podcast recording.
  • Familiarity with podcast recording tools, specifically Riverside FM, and an understanding of the technical aspects of audio and video production, including recording high-quality audio and video, mixing, and mastering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with top B2B creators in the market.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for podcasts, with a creative mindset to develop engaging content and experiment with new formats and techniques.
  • Ability to stay current with the latest trends and innovations in podcasting, audio, and video production.
  • A keen eye (and ear) for detail to ensure the highest quality in all audio and video outputs, with a commitment to maintaining consistency and quality across all content produced.
  • Adaptable and open to feedback, with a willingness to continuously improve and innovate.
