Production Engineer

Production Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Continuous improvement.
• You will research manufacturing methods and provide new and innovative solutions.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards at all times.

Production Engineer Job Duties:

• Evaluates manufacturing processes
• Develops manufacturing processes
• Improves manufacturing efficiency
• Assures product and process quality
• Complete projects in a timely manner
• Trains production personnel
• Plans processes by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
• Designs, sources, and deploys work-holding fixtures
• Programs mills, lathes, and other machinery as required
• Produces supporting documentation for production personnel

Production Engineer Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to manage projects effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively with others through various channels in person, by phone, email, and text
• Ability to produce effective documentation: Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, CAD drawings, Other computer generated images, Process control plans, Work instructions, and Setup instructions
• Knowledge of metalworking processes is essential
• Ability to read and understand G code programs is a strong plus
