👉 Strategic Partnership: ANDRITZ and Swedish company PulPac partner to scale sustainable packaging solutions 🌍 ☕ Since ordering takeaway coffee is a daily habit worldwide, the production of approximately 500 billion disposable coffee cup lids each year raises concerns about resource use and waste. However, Dry Molded Fiber, made from renewable wood pulp, offers a solution—reducing CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to plastic-based processes. 🤝 ANDRITZ and PulPac AB have joined forces to bring this - and other eco-friendly packaging solutions - to scale. This strategic partnership combines PulPac's innovative technology with ANDRITZ’s expertise in turnkey pulp mills and recycling technologies, allowing us to offer complete Dry Molded Fiber lines and expand our broad portfolio of sustainable solutions. 🌍 Together with the Carbon Value CCUS team of E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions we are embarking on a 6-month journey to test and optimize a carbon capture at E.ON’s Bergkamen biomass power plant. 🌍 👉 If the carbon capture plant would go full scale in Bergkamen, this location alone has the potential to capture approximately 200,000 tons of biogenic CO2 annually This captured CO2 can be transformed into: • Green Synthetic Fuels: Supporting a cleaner future 🚗 • Biogenic Raw Material: Reducing fossil carbon in the chemical industry 🏭 Alternatively, the biogenic CO2 can be stored in suitable geological reservoirs, removing the CO2 from the atmosphere for good Learn more about our Carbon Capture Solutions: https://lnkd.in/d-TcKjC9 #CarbonCapture #Sustainability #ClimateAction #EONInfrastructureSolutions #ItsOnUs
