This is a remote position and will be 20 hours per week, with some travel required. Our small-yet-mighty-team are all passionate about serving as the hands and feet of God within our community and throughout the world!


Purpose:

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the administration of specific programming within the organization. Five areas of focus include: Community Groups, Refuge & Resurrection Groups, Parent Programming Support, Community Relations, and Programming Data and Feedback.


Reports to: Program & Development Manager


Part time: 20 hours per week


Salary Range: $20-22 per hour

  • Creative and driven, with a passion for building and supporting programs 
  • A list maker and a list do-er!
  • Precise, deadline oriented, and timely in work delivery.
  • A believer in community as a form of advocacy for LGBTQ+ people and allies, those newly out and out for a long time. 
  • Adept at cultivating a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging across a team. 
  • Experience with: Google Workspace Apps, especially Google Sheets (must excel at Excel!), Google Forms and Google Docs; Asana (or other project management software).


Task Overview:

  • Plan and schedule programming and event coverage based on staff capacity and community needs.
  • Monitor and review programming to ensure that timelines are met, guidelines are adhered to, and volunteer performances are of adequate quality.
  • Establish volunteer schedules and assign work to volunteers as needed.
  • Confer with the Program & Development Manager to communicate program needs and announcements to the community and to discuss program issues, community concerns, timelines, and policies. 
  • Provide surveys to community members, obtaining testimonials to serve as a basis for supporting and participating in programs
  • Act as liaison between volunteers and staff for all programming needs.  


Specific Activities:

Communicating with Persons Outside the Organization

  • Communicate with volunteers and program participants

Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work

  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Coordinate event and programming logistics
  • Obtain testimonials from community members to serve as basis for supporting and participating in programs
  • Provide reports on project status and flag areas of concern

Scheduling Work and Activities

  • Schedule year-round Community Group programming 
  • Schedule year-round Refuge & Resurrection (R&R) Group programming 
  • Schedule volunteer work hours

Coordinating the Work and Activities of Others

  • Confer with other staff to coordinate programming activities
  • Direct and coordinate activities of volunteers 
  • Oversee execution of program policies

Getting Information

  • Research other organizations and programs to glean programming best practices
  • Conduct surveys to assess needs and recommend solutions

Developing Objectives and Strategies

  • Develop program success metrics and strategies in conjunction with the Program & Development Manager 

Judging the Qualities of Offerings

  • Evaluate content, suitability, and sustainability of program resources 
  • Review and edit program resources and offerings 

Performing Administrative Activities

  • Oversee administrative needs for Community Groups and Refuge & Resurrection (R&R) Groups programming and events as needed

Training and Teaching Others

  • Conduct Community Group meetings - with participants and leaders - on a regular basis
  • Participate as a panelist for events, as needed  

Analyzing Data or Information

  • Analyze program data for reports to the board of directors and staff directors 
  • Partner with the Program & Development Manager and the Operations Director to provide data and statistics for the annual Plan On A Page (POAP)
