BC is seeking an experienced Program Management Director to lead the development of our Program Management (PgM) offerings. This is a unique opportunity to join an existing team of company leaders to develop and build our philosophy, standards, tools, and team strength within Program Management.

Detailed Description

Brown and Caldwell has a truly unique opportunity for the right leader to continue the evolution of our Program Management practice. In the role of Program Management Director, you will be responsible for setting our philosophy, the creation of standards for PgM delivery, the development of tools to support PgM, and recruiting and development of a team bench to support the multiple Client programs BC is engaged on and to support the growth of PgM offering.

In This Role, The Successful Program Management Director

  • Develops and is accountable for the program management practice at BC.
  • Collaborates with Project Delivery, Risk Management and Project Delivery Systems leaders to integrate PgM with our other centers of excellences within Project Services organization.
  • Leads through influence implementation of PgM standards within each of the Business Units.
  • Collaborates with Client Service Managers to grow the PgM offering. Providing pursuit and client development support as needed.
  • Build a deep bench of PgM practitioners.
  • Supports development of staff members through training program development, as it relates to PgM.
  • Leverages existing internal systems for communication, tracking and collaboration on programs and owns the development of new supporting tools or systems.
  • Leverages resources, experience and skills of the current firm staff to support growth of PgM.
  • Collaborates with regional and national colleagues to ensure PgM setup standards and management are implemented and leveraged.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • B.S. degree, emphasis in an engineering or construction management field preferred.
  • Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  • Nationally recognized Certification in PgM (i.e. PMI-PgMP).
  • A minimum of 20 years’ experience in water/ww engineering and construction, including a minimum of 10 years in program management in the environmental sector with progressive project and program delivery.
  • Client service engagement and business development experience is preferred.
  • Energetic, compelling communicator with exceptional diplomatic and persuasive skills, capable of listening and interacting effectively with staff and clients at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, lead pursuit teams, and provide strong business growth results in management roles.
  • Proven ability to lead large programs of numerous complex projects involving multi-discipline teams of design engineers and construction contractors.
  • Demonstrated competence in all aspects of PgM, including cost and schedule control, risk management, stakeholder management, records management, capital planning, procurement, construction management, startup and commissioning, etc., for both Client and internal programs.
  • Experience with multiple forms of project delivery, including PDB, CMAR, DBB, etc.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, and can work and excel under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to focus on client needs while balancing multiple internal team priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel for client and business development meetings.

Pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $ $163,000 - $243,000

Location B: $179,000 - $267,000
